Today, a judge vacated North Dakota’s abortion ban, finding the law unconstitutionally vague and an infringement on medical freedom.
While today’s ruling is a victory for women’s reproductive rights, this ban should have never been allowed in the first place and our freedoms are still at stake in 2024.

West Fargo Events has announced the schedule for the annual West Fest celebration Tuesday, Sept. 17- Saturday, Sept. 21!
This year’s theme is “There’s No Place Like Home” with events for the whole community held throughout West Fargo.

➡️West Fargo Cruise Night: 4:30-8 p.m. – Downtown Yards on Sheyenne
Saturday, Sept. 21:
➡️West Fest 5K: 7 a.m. – POW/MIA Plaza (400 Sheyenne St.)
➡️West Fargo Softball Tournament: 9 a.m. – South Elmwood Diamonds (535 13th Ave. W.)
➡️Craft and Vendor Show: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Berg Auto Parking Lot (502 Sheyenne St.)
➡️Band Jam: 11 a.m. – POW/MIA Plaza (400 Sheyenne St.)
➡️West Fest Grand Parade: Begins at noon – Sheyenne St. from Main Ave. to 7th Ave.
➡️West Fest Family Fun: 2-5 p.m. – Herb Tintes Park (675 1st St. W.)
➡️West Fest Street Dance featuring Big Toe and the Jam: 7-10 p.m. – POW/MIA Plaza (400 Sheyenne St.)
Sheyenne Street, from Main Avenue W. to 7th Avenue W., will be closed 1-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, for Cruise Night. More detailed closure information is available at westfargond.gov.
Sheyenne Street, from Main Avenue W. to 7th Avenue W., will be closed 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 for the Grand Parade. Sheyenne Street at the intersection of 4th Avenue W., in front of the POW/MIA Plaza will remain closed until 10 p.m.
